OPATÓW RING ROAD

The main purpose of the reconstruction is to shift through traffic outside of residential areas. Moreover, the design is meant to adjust technical parameters of roads to the traffic forecasted for subsequent years. This should result in limiting noise in residential areas and near such facilities as schools, medical clinics. In addition, upgrading the pavement, construction of non-collision junctions, readable marking will improve safety of both drivers and residents.
The construction of the Opatów ring road was necessitated by the fact that town’s centre is the crossing of two national roads No. 9 and 74 and a voivodeship road. Research has proved that through traffic constitutes 50% of the traffic intensity in Opatów. Thus, the construction of the ring road seems to be a priority.
The newly built system will include non-collision junctions. The “Marcinkowice” junction will connect with the south ring road and the west one. The “Czerników” junction will allow exit from the national road into voivodeship road No. 757. The “Okalina” junction will connect the existing national road No. 9 on the exit section from Opatów with the newly designed expressway and will refer local traffic straight into the south ring road.
