On 22 October the Voivodeship Marshal Office held the Second Conference “Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway – future, development, investments”. We were invited to the conference, as we are a co-author of the 2010 updated feasibility study and spatial and conceptual design for the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) in Gdańsk and the winner of the 2011 competition for conceptual architectural design for PKM stations. During the session a report was delivered on construction of the landmark project, and a conceptual design was presented for i.e. extension of the metropolitan railway line to Gdynia and inclusion of new stations, as follows from our study. BPBK S.A. is the author of design „Typology of PKM stations in Gdynia”, which can be found in the link below.
In the near future PKM stations Gdynia Karwiny and Gdynia Stadion are planned, plus an additional station in Gdańsk, namely PKM Gdańsk Osowa. This is featured in article “Metropolitan Railway to Gdynia. Green light from Marshal” published on the trójmiasto.pl portal on 23 October 2013.
