Tuesday noon saw the ceremonial unveiling of the monument commemorating the displacement of civilians of Polish nationality by the German occupying forces in the years 1939-1945.
Design by BPBK in collaboration with sculptors Paweł Sasin and Adam Dziejowski.
The unveiling of the sculpture together with the spatial installation of the monument marks the end of the major reconstruction works of the square. The Displaced Gdynia Residents Square gained a new pavement, architectural details, square lighting and illumination of the sculpture. The project also did away with collisions with the existing underground infrastructure.
